The Zionists started planning their remaking of the Middle East at least a hundred years ago. They had a vision of what they wanted the region to look like, and they’ve been working that vision ever since. That’s why they’re successful: They know very well what they want.

Does the left know what it wants the world to look like in one hundred months, let alone one hundred years? No.

The left often asks itself what it should be doing. But in life, the question is never, “What should I do?” The question is always, “What do I want?” Once you figure out what you want, the question of what to do always answers itself.

The Zionists win because they started by asking themselves, “What do we want?” The left should do likewise. And, like the Zionists, the left should be asking itself what it wants its world to look like in a hundred years or even a thousand years.

Doing so is sufficient to guarantee victory, as the Zionists’ experience shows. I claim it’s also necessary. I claim also that the last fifty years of left-wing history proves necessity as well.
